Particles

In Korean (and Japanese for that matter) word order does not determine the function of a word in a sentence like in English or Dutch. They also do not use declension, which is the inflection of nouns, adjectives, etc., like you would in Russian or Finnish. To give a part of a sentence a certain function in Korean you will have to use particles.

There are a lot of particles and all of them have specific grammatical uses. Learning and understanding these particles are essential to be able to understand Korean texts and conversation and to properly express yourself in Korean. Here I will share my notes regarding particles I have learned so far. These particles in this list are those I know and just what I know about them so far.
